Responsible for providing leadership in the development and execution of formal strategies for specific global spend categories and the improvement of associated business outcomes, transaction processing, product and process performance, supplier performance, and relationships. This person must effectively lead formal strategic sourcing efforts, including the selection, evaluation, and management of strategic suppliers on a global basis with minimal supervision.




  • Research assigned spend categories and develop comprehensive sourcing strategies with buy-in from all stakeholders. Conduct sourcing activities and events as appropriate to communicate and implement the strategies. Lead sourcing initiatives and cross-functional teams, collaborate with subject matter experts to develop the scope of work and overall business requirements, draft effective RFx documents and directly negotiate complex agreements with strategic suppliers.? Develop and implement programs to optimize the supply base while identifying new suppliers and assist with their development into production capable alternatives for sole-sourced items.




  • Successfully transition the administration of implemented strategies to local and regional purchasing functions. Systematically follow up and obtain feedback to ensure actual operational results meet or exceed expectations and regularly report on results.




  • Periodically review and update sourcing strategies, negotiate and renegotiate with suppliers. Conduct supplier evaluations, monitor supplier risk, markets, pricing trends, benchmarking, new technology and internal product development.




  • Analyze data against baseline and ensure local and regional operations are complying with implemented sourcing strategies and utilizing best practices. Periodically revisit operational sites and conduct reviews of results.




  • Utilize existing performance metrics and develop additional category specific metrics for monitoring, reviews with management and identifying issues and opportunities.




  • ?Perform duties such as creating/revising job descriptions, conducting Talent Development discussion sessions, rating performance, establishing/tracking goals and completing annual wage reviews.? Responsible for coaching, motivating, mentoring, and developing direct reports to successfully take on additional responsibilities.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS



5-7 years' related experience


Bachelor degree (Business or Supply Chain)


Must have valid driving privileges


Extensive travel (over 20%)


Extensive overnight stays (over 20%)




PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



Proven academic and practical experience credentials in Business and Supply Chain. Strong interpersonal, change management and negotiation skills. ISM certification preferred.? Experience sourcing product and non-product spend categories associated with Lift Truck type manufacturing from domestic and international multi-tier supply chains. Experience travelling and conducting business internationally and the ability to lead cross functional multinational teams is required.? SAP experience preferred.? Proficient PC skills; PowerPoint, Excel.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
