Pantry Cook (Part-Time)

17 West is a premiere American Bistro in New Bremen, Ohio. This unique dining experience features a full lunch and dinner menu, daily specials, a wide selection of cocktails and live entertainment. With an upscale, contemporary menu and a casual atmosphere, the restaurant offers options for business lunches, an evening out and everything in between.
Job Responsbilties:
- To portion, prepare, and assemble all cold food items (salad, cold appetizers, and hot/cold desserts) offered in the restaurant.
- Complete all food preparations, cooking methods, procedures, and timing to ensure that all food products meet specifications and quality standards of the Restaurant.
- Set up the pantry station to include all cold food items, preparation equipment, plate ware, food ingredients, garnishes and supply items needed for effective operation of the station.
- Must work quickly and efficiently to turn the dishes out.
- Communicate and coordinate with the line cooks to ensure that all food product is prepared and side work as assigned by the Chef. Prepare all food product according to the standards and procedures stated on the recipe cards.
- Ensure food quality throughout the entire dining room and catering events. Follow all health and safety regulations. Ensure cleanliness of kitchen, prep area, and equipment. Practice positive personal hygiene and cleanliness habits during all work shifts.
Qualifications:
Less than 2 years related experience
Less than High school diploma or equivalent
Very little to no travel
Overnight stays unlikely
Job may require employee to drive a company vehicle; job is non-DOT regulated and an MVR is required

Compensation and
Benefits:
Compensation is commensurate with experience. Benefits are not applicable to part-time positions.
